Daniel Arsham is a New York based contemporary artist. For the last decade, he has examined a dystopian vision of the future where contemporary culture is eroded. Arsham creates fictional archeological finds, such as keyboards, headphones and cameras - contemporary objects that are degraded and decaying as if they'd been in the ground for thousands of years. This “Brillo Box” sculpture looks like it is Andy Warhol’s iconic Brillo Box in a state of decay, eroded over time and has just been discovered. This work comes in Arsham studio designed housing with die-cut foam, sealing label and a pair of white art handling gloves. It also has a holographic authenticity label.
