Daniel Arsham is a New York based contemporary artist. For the last decade, he has examined a dystopian vision of the future where contemporary culture is eroded. Arsham creates fictional archeological finds, such as keyboards, headphones and cameras - contemporary objects that are degraded and decaying as if they'd been in the ground for thousands of years. This “Game Boy” sculpture looks like it is in a state of decay, eroded over time and has just been discovered. This work is the second sculpture in Arsham’s ‘Crystal Relic’ series and is made with two interlocking elements. It comes in a studio designed housing with metal identification card, die-cut foam, sealing label, and a pair of white art handling gloves. It also has a holographic authenticity label.
