New Breed Bay

Erik Parker (b. 1968) is a German New York-based contemporary artist whose unique paintings transport viewers to other worlds. Influenced by cartoons, comic books, and graffiti art, Parker uses eye-popping colors and otherworldly shapes to portray fantastical landscapes that have often been compared to Dr. Suess's imaginative worlds. In addition, his cartoonish composition often includes maps and flow charts influenced by American subcultures such as psychedelia and underground comic books. New Breed Bay is a landscape scene composed of brightly colored flowers, plants, and mosses that create a marshlike alien world.
